The Warriors Shield – Defined

The outer shield is split into three sections: The top of the shield above the crown represents – the battlefield of the mind where most battles are fought, won or lost.  This is the place where we cannot hide from ourselves. The two side sections represents the world in which we live – it is split into two sections one for good people and things in life and the other for chaos which seeks to conquer all

The inner shield represents the warrior – who is placed between the two warring factions and he stands on God’s word and power to defend the week and destroy evil.

The Crown of Glory stands for God who is our King – The placement of which is at the top of the shield signifying that this is where God is in our lives, above all things.

The crossed arrows stand for readiness for battle – The placement between the Crown of Glory and the dove of peace signifies that sometimes peace can only be achieved through war.

The Dove of Peace symbolizes the Holy Spirit – Placement above the primary circle is to remind us that as the Holy Spirit descended upon Jesus after his baptism in the waters of the Jordan, that we two have been baptized in the Spirit.

The six swords stand for one of each of the pieces of Gods armor – The placement of the swords on either side of the dove represents that we must be willing to fight for one another and God has provided us the weapons needed to do so.

The primary circle stands for the circle of life–– This is at the center of the shield because it holds the piece through the sacrifice of Jesus and the relationship we now have with the trinity and the unity among our brothers in Christ who are led by the Spirit.

PAX stands for Christ Jesus who is the source, reconciliation and the peace – Jesus is at the center of life for without his sacrifice we would not be able to have eternal life and a relationship with God who is our father.

The triquetra symbolizes the Trinity – this is located on the right side of the PAX with the three points representing Father, Son and Holy Spirit while the continuous interwoven line represents unity.

The joined rings stand for brotherhood – this is located on the left side of the PAX representing a rope made of many strands will not be broken.

The wheel of Hope – this is located at the bottom of the shield and it contains all that we want or hope to be.  Our Core Values that exemplify a character of excellence; they are who you already are and who you become during this incredible journey with our Father in heaven.  These values are:

  • Faith          – firm belief in something for which there is no proof; complete trust.
  • Service      – contribution to the welfare of others; a helpful act
  • Unity          – continuity without deviation or change of purpose or action; the quality or state of being made one
  • Courage    – mental or moral strength to venture, persevere, and withstand danger, fear or difficulty
  • Honor        – character, a good name, reputation; one’s word given as a guarantee of performance; moral excellence and fairness
  • Vision        – a dream, strongly desired goal or purpose
  • Duty          – binding of tasks, conduct, service, or functions that arise from one’s position in life; the force of moral obligation
  • Freedom   – absence of necessity, coercion, or constraint in choice or action; liberation from slavery or restraint or from the power of another; independence

The hub located in the center of the wheel is to remind us that when we act in unison we are of one mind, one heart and one Spirit.  This is the source of our reason to not accept failure

The wheel is always moving forward and affords one the agility to spin about in defense or offensive maneuvers.  It contains 8 spokes each stand for one of our core beliefs upon which we will stand and not be shaken.  The hub represents the weak; those for whom we are commissioned to stand for, to protect and defend, the spokes connect them to the living word of God.

The point of contact between the wheel and the circle represents the turning of our lives, the point in which once and for all times we have been saved through the blood of Christ.  For without being connected to the primary circle of life we cannot be, or truly succeed at that which we hope to achieve.

There is a battle forming that is encompassing the world; one that is being fought on the physical, temporal and spiritual planes of existence.  This battle is between good and evil in which no one will get out alive, yet, in the middle stands the warrior.  It is he who through wisdom, faith, and knowledge of the word of God, puts his life on the line for the children of God who are lost, mislead, or alone.

HOW TO FORGIVE

One day a while back, a man, his heart heavy with grief, was walking in the woods. As he thought about his life this day, he knew many things were not right. He thought about those who had lied about him back when he had a job. His thoughts turned to those who had stolen his things and cheated him. He remembered family that had passed on. His mind turned to the illness he had that no one could cure. His very soul was filled with anger, resentment and frustration.

Standing there this day, searching for answers he could not find, knowing all else had failed him, he knelt at the base of an old oak tree to seek the one he knew would always be there. And with tears in his eyes, he prayed:

“Lord – You have done wonderful things for me in this life. You have told me to do many things for you, and I happily obeyed. Today, you have told me to forgive. I am sad, Lord, because I cannot. I don’t know how. It is not fair Lord. I didn’t deserve these wrongs that were done against me and I shouldn’t have to forgive. As perfect as your way is Lord, this one thing I cannot do, for I don’t know how to forgive. My anger is so deep Lord, I fear I may not hear you, but I pray that you teach me to do this one thing I cannot do – Teach me To Forgive.”

As he knelt there in the quiet shade of that old oak tree, he felt something fall onto his shoulder. He opened his eyes. Out of the corner of one eye, he saw something red on his shirt. He could not turn to see what it was because where the oak tree had been was a large square piece of wood in the ground. He raised his head and saw two feet held to the wood with a large spike through them.

He raised his head more, and tears came to his eyes as he saw Jesus hanging on a cross. He saw spikes in His hands, a gash in His side, a torn and battered body, deep thorns sunk into His head. Finally he saw the suffering and pain on His precious face. As their eyes met, the man’s tears turned to sobbing, and Jesus began to speak.

“Have you ever told a lie?” He asked. The man answered – “yes, Lord.”

“Have you ever been given too much change and kept it?” The man answered – ” yes. Lord.”

And the man sobbed more and more.

“Have you ever taken something from work that wasn’t yours?” Jesus asked?

And the man answered – “yes, Lord.”

“Have you ever sworn, using my Father’s name in vain?

” The man, crying now, answered – “yes, Lord.”

As Jesus asked many more times, “Have you ever”? The man’s crying became uncontrollable, for he could only answer – “yes, Lord.”

Then Jesus turned His head from one side to the other, and the man felt something fall on his other shoulder. He looked and saw that it was the blood of Jesus. When he looked back up, his eyes met those of Jesus, and there was a look of love the man had never seen or known before.

Jesus said, “I didn’t deserve this either, but I forgive you.”

It may be hard to see how you’re going to get through something, but when you look back in life, you realize how true this statement is. Read the following first line slowly and let it sink in.

If God brings you to it – He will bring you through it. Lord I love You and I need You, come into my heart, today. For without You I can do nothing.

Take my Son

A wealthy man and his son loved to collect rare works of art. They had everything in their collection, from Picasso to Raphael. They would often sit together and admire the great works of art.

When the Vietnam conflict broke out, the son went to war. He was very courageous and died in battle while rescuing another soldier The father was notified and grieved deeply for his only son.

About a month later, just before Christmas, There was a knock at the door. A young man stood at the door with a large package in his hands.  He said, ‘Sir, you don’t know me, but I am the soldier for whom your son gave his life. He saved many lives that day, and he was carrying me to safety when a bullet struck him in the heart and he died instantly… He often talked about you, and your love for art.’ The young man held out this package. ‘I know this isn’t much. I’m not really a great artist, but I think your son would have wanted you to have this.’

The father opened the package. It was a portrait of his son, painted by the young man. He stared in awe at the way the soldier had captured the personality of his son in the painting. The father was so drawn to the eyes that his own eyes welled up with tears. He thanked the young man and offered to pay him for the picture. ‘Oh, no sir, I could never repay what your son did for me. It’s a gift.’

The father hung the portrait over his mantle. Every time visitors came to his home he took them to see the portrait of his son before he showed them any of the other great works he had collected. The man died a few months later. There was to be a great auction of his paintings. Many influential people gathered, excited over seeing the great paintings and having an opportunity to purchase one for their collection.  On the platform sat the painting of the son The auctioneer pounded his gavel. ‘We will start the bidding with this picture of the son. Who will bid for this picture?’

There was silence…   Then a voice in the back of the room shouted, ‘We want to see the famous paintings. Skip this one”.  But the auctioneer persisted. ‘Will somebody bid for this painting? Who will start the bidding? $100, $200?’   Another voice angrily. ‘We didn’t come to see this painting. We came to see the Van Gogh‘s, the Rembrandts. Get on with the Real bids!’

But still the auctioneer continued. ‘The son! The son! Who’ll take the son?’   Finally, a voice came from the very back of the room. It was the longtime gardener of the man and his son. ‘I’ll give $10 for the painting…’ Being a poor man, it was all he could afford.   ‘We have $10, who will bid $20?’ ‘Give it to him for $10. Let’s see the masters.’  The crowd was becoming angry. They didn’t want the picture of the son. They wanted the more worthy investments for their collections. The auctioneer pounded the gavel.. ‘Going once, twice, SOLD for $10!’

A man sitting on the second row shouted, ‘Now let’s get on with the collection!’ The auctioneer laid down his gavel. ‘I’m sorry, the auction is over.’ ‘What about the paintings?’

‘I am sorry. When I was called to conduct this auction, I was told of a secret stipulation in the will… I was not allowed to reveal that stipulation until this time. Only the painting of the son would be auctioned. Whoever bought that painting would inherit the entire estate, including the paintings. The man who took the son gets everything!’

God gave His son 2,000 years ago to die on the cross. Much like the auctioneer, His message today is: ‘The son, the son, who’ll take the son?’ Because, you see, whoever takes the Son gets everything.

FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, WHO SO EVER BELIEVETH, SHALL HAVE ETERNAL LIFE…THAT’S LOVE

God Bless.                                                                             Author Unknown

Warriors corner

Welcome to my site,

I hope that you will find many helpful and potentially wonderful things within the pages of this website. I have designed this site to help to bridge the gap between those who are lost, unsure, scared or alone, with the love that God has for us all. Remember that forgiveness is the key to not only God’s love but for the love we have for one another, a friend, family member, spouse, children, and yes even an enemy. Forgiveness or lack there of is one of the main if not the most critical issue we face today. When we get angry or upset what do we do, harbor ill will towards the one who has offended us, want to get even, hold a grudge, sometimes even ruin what has taken years to build? Why do we do this, is it because we have become immersed in the worldviews that teaches getting even rather than forgiveness?

I leave you with this thought, I have found that withholding forgiveness is more damaging to myself both physically and mentally, is there someone you need to forgive?
